Job Description




Expertise in Management of Service Design:


Applicants with teaching interest and key research strengths in one or more of the following subject areas: Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism Marketing and Branding, Big Data and Data-driven Tourism, Smart and Leisure Tourism, Sustainable Tourism in the context of Tourism and Service Innovation. 


Expertise in Cultural Typology, Capitalism or Cultural Branding:

Applicants with teaching interest and key research strengths in one or more of the following subject areas: Cultural Management, Cultural Tourism, Cultural Entertainment, Cultural Capital Studies in the Context of Cultural Tourism Business, Cultural Capital, or Cultural Brand Management.


Successful applicants are expected to teach courses, such as Guest Experience Management, Leisure Management, Smart Tourism Development, Club Management, Food and Beverage Management, Resort Management, Service Management, Hotel Information Management, Service Design Thinking, Sports Management, Data-Driven Analytics in Business, Cultural Tourism and Hospitality, Intercultural Management, Sustainable Tourism Development, Cultural Club Management, History of Modern Tourism, and Theme Parks and Attractions Management.

Job Requirement
Candidates should have a PhD/DBA degree in a related discipline. Professional Qualifications: CDA, CHE, CHIA, CTH, and/or PMP certifications would be highly valued. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high-quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Benefits and Appointment Terms

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
