Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Environmental Science (Ref:FST240415)

Job Description

Candidates with expertise in the following areas: Priority will be given to Renewable Energy Technologies and Management, and Green Technologies; cross-discipline with the following areas including Material Sciences in Environment and Energy, Resources and Waste Management, Environmental Pollution Control will be an advantage. Candidates are expected to teach some of the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English: Renewable Energy Technologies, Green Technologies and Laboratory, Carbon Management, Energy Usage and Sustainability, Modern Materials, General Chemistry, Land Contamination and Remediation, Solid Waste Management, as well as environmental related courses for General Education etc.

Job Requirement

Candidates should have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Benefits and Appointment Terms

Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreem.
