We are located in central Jiangsu on China’s east coast, about 185 miles from Shanghai. The city of Yancheng, known in China as “the world of red-crested cranes and home of Milu Deer”, has the world’s largest area of wetlands west of the Pacific. It provides us with a major strategic base and a high-speed railway, air-transport and highway area status of some 8,000,000 people.

Founded in 1958 as Yancheng Teachers College, we later merged with Yancheng Institute of Education and Yancheng Business School into what we are today. Our efforts are targeted to prepare YCTU students to meet global opportunities and challenges through a learning-centered classroom environment; to expand the boundaries of current knowledge while exploring the practical applications of that knowledge; and to promote the economic growth, social development as well as educational progress of the region through excellence in service outreach.

Position: English Teacher

Salary: CNY 10,000-15,000 per month

Responsibilities

• Teaching hours per week: 18-20 class hours per week
• Office hours per week: flexible work hours
• Working days per week: 5 days per week
• Students’ age: Bachelor degree students whose age ranging 18-23
• Class size: 30-50
• Duration of each class: 45 minutes per class, 2 classes together, 10 minutes break between 2 classes

Qualifications

• Native English speakers
• Bachelor degree or above
• Priority to those majoring Education and English
• At least 2 years teaching or tutoring experience
• Age: below 60
