Position Summary: To work with the High School Counselors in the execution of their duties as related to high school college counseling servicesespecially with Korean students. This position is a one-year contract. This position is a coverage for an employee who is on maternity leave.
 
Requirements 
Education 
[Required] 
  • Bachelor degree majored in English, counseling or related.
Experience
[Required] 
  • College counseling experience with Korean universities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products-Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Photo Editor, etc.
  • Experience with English and Korean translation, both oral and written  
Skills 
[Required]

  • A/V and basic technology skills
  • Fluency in Korean and English; strong communication skills in both languages
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Work with admissions related and student required documents including:
    • Assist non-senior students in transferring or preparing summer camp related document 
      • Transcript
      • Coordinate with counselor’s recommendation letter/form, enrollment certificate
    • Assist senior in college application 
      • Non-Korean student: uploading student data, including initial/mid-term/final transcript, and collecting application package and sending out as needed
      • Korean student:  communicating with Korean parents, collecting all the documents and taking to Korean Embassy for authentication and sending out to Korean Universities accordingly.
  • Assist with exam administration-AP, SAT, ACT, PSAT etc.
  • Maintain student score data in student system (Cialfo)  
    • Upload Seniors transcript & GPA (initial, mid-term and final).
    • Student, parent, teacher account setting up, deactivating.
    • Inputting all related test scores, including SAT, ACT, AP, PSAT etc.
  • Carry out all other assignments, as assigned by the counselors and principals.
