I. Presentazione dell’università e della facoltà

Fondata nel 1919, l’Università di Nankai è una celebre università cinese situata nel centro di Tianjin, una città ricca di storia, nonché una delle quattro municipalità sotto il controllo diretto del governo centrale della RPC. Il nucleo originale della Facoltà di Lingue Straniere, fondata più di un secolo fa, era composto da quattro materie principali – inglese, tedesco, francese e giapponese – tutte inaugurate nello stesso anno. Ora la Facoltà di Lingue Straniere è composta da dieci dipartimenti (inglese, russo, giapponese, tedesco, francese, spagnolo, portoghese, italiano, arabo e traduzione), un dipartimento indipendente (inglese pubblico), sette centri di ricerca e una stazione di ricerca post-doc.

II. Presentazione del Dipartimento di Italiano

Creato nel 2017, il Corso di Laurea in Lingua Italiana è stato il primo corso di laurea quadriennale in Italiano inaugurato da un’università multidisciplinare cinese. Il Dipartimento di Italiano è stato ufficialmente fondato nel novembre 2019. Al momento il Dipartimento è composto da cinque docenti cinesi, un’insegnante madrelingua e un visiting professor: tutti gli insegnanti vantano un’esperienza di studio all’estero. La percentuale di docenti con titolo di dottorato di ricerca è pari al 90%, percentuale tra le più alte in Cina. Negli ultimi quattro anni, il corso di laurea ha dato molta importanza ai programmi di formazione e perfezionamento del personale, alla formazione e all’educazione dei docenti e all’attività di ricerca. Il Dipartimento ha anche instaurato una fruttuosa collaborazione con l’Ambasciata Italiana in Cina e alcune tra le migliori università italiane, fattore che ha permesso di creare programmi di scambio per studenti e docenti e progetti di ricerca accademica.
