Yuncheng University (运城学院, website) is located in Yuncheng, an important birthplace of Chinese civilization. It was formerly known as Yuncheng Teachers College, which was founded in 1978. Introduction to Jinzhong University

The predecessor of Jinzhong University (晋中学院, website) was the Jinzhong Normal College, which was founded in 1958. In May 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and was established on the basis of the merger of the former Jinzhong Normal College, Jinzhong College of Education, and Jinzhong Workers College.
