Tangshan Normal University

Tangshan Normal University (唐山师范学院, website) is a full-time general undergraduate college in Hebei Province. The school was formerly known as the Tangshan Accelerated Teachers College, which was founded in 1956. It was promoted to an undergraduate college in 1958, and was dismissed in 1962. In 1979, the Tangshan Teachers College was restored. In 1988, it was commended as the “National Excellent Teachers College” by the former State Education Commission. In 2007, it was evaluated by the Ministry of Education for its undergraduate teaching work level and was awarded a good grade. Approved “National Defense Education Characteristic School”. In the same year, the Chinese language and literature major was included in the undergraduate enrollment range. In 2018, the ideological and political education major was included in the undergraduate enrollment range.

Tangshan Normal University is located in Tangshan High-tech Development Zone, Hebei Province. Tangshan is bordered by Yanshan to the north, Bohai Sea to the south, Beijing-Tianjin to the west, and Qinhuangdao to the east. It is a strong economic city in Hebei Province.
