Xi’an University of Finance and Economics (西安财经大学, website) is an ordinary institution of higher learning sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and co-built by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and the National Bureau of Statistics. The school’s predecessor dates back to the Northwest Trade School, founded in 1952. In June 2001, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Shaanxi University of Economics and Trade and Xi’an Statistical Institute merged to form Xi’an University of Finance and Economics. On November 30, 2018, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Xi’an University of Finance and Economics was renamed Xi’an University of Finance and Economics. The school currently has 4 campuses: Chang’an, Yanta, Cuihua East and Cuihua West, covering an area of ??1,600 mu. The Yanta and Cuihua campuses are adjacent to the famous Wild Goose Pagodas in the Tang Dynasty. The Chang’an campus is located on Shenheyu in the northern foot of the Qinling Mountains. The environment is elegant and the culture is profound.
