Introduction to Xinxiang University

Xinxiang University (新乡学院, website) is a public full-time undergraduate college. Its history can be traced back to Taihang Public Xinxiang Normal School, established in 1949. It is a school with a red revolutionary gene and a gene of reform and opening up. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2007, the former Xinxiang Teachers College, Pingyuan University, and Xinxiang City College of Education were merged and upgraded to undergraduate colleges. In 2014, they passed the Ministry of Education ’s undergraduate teaching qualification assessment.

Xinxiang University has an elegant environment. The campus covers an area of 2130 acres, and the campus covers an area of nearly 750,000 square meters. Xinxiang University currently has 60 undergraduate majors and 29 junior college majors, covering 11 disciplines including engineering, science, management, economics, education, literature, law, art, history, agriculture, and medicine. Xinxiang University currently has 1,800 faculty members, 1,300 full-time teachers, more than 500 teachers with senior titles, 1,100 doctoral and master’s degree teachers, and “dual-teacher and dual-energy” teachers account for nearly 60% of full-time teachers. Xinxiang University actively develops international educational exchanges and cooperation. In recent years, we have insisted on sending scholars and teachers to the United States, Britain, Germany, Australia and other countries for exchange or further studies, and we have invited well-known foreign scholars as guest professors. It has signed cooperation agreements with Bebes University in the United States, Western Taranaki Institute of Technology in New Zealand, Northern Institute of Applied Sciences in Canada, University of East London, and other foreign universities.
