Guangzhou Vocational and Technical University of Science and Technology (广州科技职业技术大学, website) was formerly known as the Guangdong University of Technology College, which was founded in 1999. In 2002, it cooperated with Guangzhou Medical College to host the University of Guangzhou University of Technology. It was upgraded to a vocational school at the undergraduate level in 2019, and was renamed “Guangzhou University of Science and Technology” in 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

Guangzhou Vocational and Technical University of Science and Technology implements the development layout of one school and two districts. There are two campuses in Guangzhou and Binhai. The Guangzhou campus is located in the Zhongluotan High Campus of Baiyun District, and the Binhai Campus is located in the “Smart City” highland area of Maoming Education Base. The school covers an area of 1607 acres. At present, there are more than 18,000 full-time students, and the total value of teaching and research equipment is 117 million yuan. Guangzhou Vocational and Technical University of Science and Technology reforms physical education with the concept of “happy sports, fashion sports, communicative sports, and lifelong sports”.
