Sanya Polytechnic Vocational College is a general higher vocational college approved by the People’s Government of Hainan Province and agreed to be established by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China for the record, the second batch of pilot units of modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education, and the pilot institutions of 1+X certificate system by the Ministry of Education.
In 2009, Sanya Polytechnic Vocational College was created; in August 2017, the school was selected as the second batch of pilot units of modern apprenticeship system by the Ministry of Education; in June 2019, the school was selected as the pilot institution of 1+X certificate system by the Ministry of Education.
As of December 2020, the school covers an area of 334,500 square meters, with a total area of 71,000 square meters for teaching and research and auxiliary buildings, and a total value of 22,429,400 yuan for teaching and research instruments and equipment; there are 6 teaching departments and 30 higher vocational majors; there are a total of 361 teachers, including 267 full-time teachers, and 5418 full-time students.
