We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT

Principal responsibilities

The job holder will have to perform the following duties:

  • Design and develop risk system

  • Communicate with business user , work closely with business team globally on joint delivery

  • Conduct system tests, user acceptance tests and provide support on system implementation

  • Ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices

  • Prepare project-related documentation and provide support on compliance and audit checking

Requirements

Candidates should possess the following skills or qualification:

  • A university graduate with a degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ IT software development experience, preferably with rich Java experience of backend application development.

  • Welcome enthusiastic and self-motivated person to work as part of the team.

  • Good communication in English is required to work with global team.

  • Hand-on experience Java, Spring and SQL technologies

  • Experienced in Spring and Java 8 or above; and in particular Spring Boot, Spring Boot Cloud, and Micro Services

  • Familiar with Service Now, ICE, Jira/Confluence, CICD

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Experienced with RESTful API design and development or Python is an advantage.

  • Experience in container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes is an advantage.

  • Knowledge on data warehouse or OLAP is an advantage.
