Hunan Information College is an undergraduate college located in Changsha, a famous historical and cultural city in China, in the Maotang Industrial Park of Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, the hometown of former Premier of the State Council Zhu Rongji. The school was formerly known as Hunan Information College, which was founded in 1997, and was upgraded to Hunan Information Science Vocational College (Higher Vocational College) in 2004; it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2014; and was approved by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and other departments to be a master’s degree-granting project construction unit in 2021. The school now has nine secondary colleges, including School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Electronic Science and Engineering, School of Management, School of International Business, School of Arts, School of Liberal Studies, and School of Marxism.
