Job Description

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526020), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field, with a preference for those specializing in pain medicine or neuroscience. A strong background in laboratory-based research in neuroscience and/or pain is essential, along with a notable postdoctoral experience. An excellent record of high-quality publications in the relevant areas is highly desirable. Prior success in securing research grants would be an advantageous asset. As a Research Assistant Professor, the appointee will contribute to the development and advancement of research programs for pain-related and neuroscience research projects within the Department. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
