Anhui Medical University

Anhui Medical University (安徽医科大学) is one of the earliest universities in Anhui Province, and is the first medical college in Anhui Province. The school is located in Hefei, a famous historical and cultural city known as “Liangyan and Huaihuaihuai”, undertaking the mission of Deshuren and cultivating talents for the country. The school is a key university of Anhui Province, a joint university established by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Health Commission and Anhui Province, the first batch of high-level universities with local characteristics, and the first batch of comprehensive reform pilot schools.

Anhui Medical University, formerly known as Southeast Medical University, was founded in Shanghai in 1926. In 1949, in response to the call of the East China Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, “facing the countryside and going to the interior,” it moved to Huaiyuan, Anhui. It was located in Hefei in 1952 and renamed Anhui Medical College. In 1985 changed its name to Anhui Medical University. As the birthplace of Anhui medical higher education, the school has always guided the construction and development of higher medical education in our province, and is the creator and leader of the health system in Anhui Province.

Anhui Medical University currently has 5 campuses (Meishan Road Campus, Feicui Road Campus, East Campus (under construction), Chaohu Campus, Fuyang Campus, etc.). Anhui Medical University has 13,365 in-service teaching and medical staff (including the affiliated hospitals), of which 564 are high and 1,467 are high. Anhui Medical University has a full range of medical and related disciplines, and has formed a complete education and training system for bachelor, master, doctor, and postdoctoral students. There are 33 undergraduate majors including clinical medicine (“5 + 3” integration). It has 4 doctoral degree authorized first-level disciplines in clinical medicine, pharmacy, basic medicine, public health and preventive medicine, 35 doctoral degree authorized second-level disciplines; 13 master’s degree authorized first-level disciplines, and 65 master’s degree authorized Second-level disciplines; has 1 discipline for granting doctoral degree and 8 disciplines for granting master’s degree.
