Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join us at Peng Cheng Laboratory (PCL) in the field of Optical Communications and Photonics. Our research focuses on cutting-edge technologies that drive advancements in high-speed data transmission, digital signal processing, and photonic device development. 【Qualifications】

1. Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related field.

2. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven track record of research productivity.

3. Strong background in one of the following technologies:
a. Familiar with the modeling of optical fiber communication system and channel,
usage of high-speed RF equipment (AWG, SCOPE), and advanced optical DSP
algorithms (coherent/IMDD DSP, neural network, etc.)

b. Familiar with RF simulation software such as HFSS, CST; familiar with
simulation tools such as Lumerical, Silvaco, capable of conducting electro-
optical co-design, and having experience in testing passive and active optical
devices.

c. Familiar with hardware description languages such as Verilog, with experience
in algorithm verification based on real-time FPGA.

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

【Responsibilities】:

1. Conduct innovative research and publish research findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences.
2. Mentor PhD students.
3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and industry partners.

【Salary (Yuan/USD=1/7.24)】

Basic salary of 560,000 Yuan (Annual salary)

Additionally, qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for several

“PCL Postdoctoral Program”: Provides an additional subsidy of 80,000 Yuan per
year.
“Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program”: Offers 600,000 Yuan over two
years.
“International Exchange Program Introduction Project”: Grants 400,000 Yuan over
two years.
“Postdoctoral Pre-Station Special Funding”: 180,000 Yuan.
“Guangdong Provincial Zhujiang Talent Plan”: Provides 600,000 Yuan over two
years.

Candidates who work in Shenzhen after postdoc can apply for Shenzhen’s
postdoctoral research subsidy totaling 300,000 yuan distributed over three
years.
