Job Description
Laboratory Introduction
Dr. Hao Sun is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University in 1998, and then worked as a bioinformatics researcher at The Ohio State University and the Wistar Institute in the U.S.A. In 2009, Professor Sun Hao joined the Department of Chemical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong and was awarded a tenured professorship. In 2024, he joined the School of Medicine, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. The current research direction of the research group is bioinformatics, high-throughput data analysis, and its application in disease diagnosis.

Job Description
Applicants must have:
1. Possess degrees in bioinformatics, mathematical statistics, computing, medicine, biomedical engineering and other related fields.
2. Have solid experimental skills and independently conduct second- and third-generation sequencing and cell experiments.
3. Proficient in using coding language such as R/Python for bioinformatics data analysis, familiar with GitHub, and have solid knowledge in statistics and machine learning algorithms;
4. Have good English reading, writing, and oral expression skills;
5. Have strong scientific research capabilities and have published research papers in international academic journals;
6. Have good academic ethics and teamwork spirit.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Focus on scientific research and complete postdoctoral research tasks as planned.
2. Jointly undertake scientific research projects with professors, assist in formulating experimental plans, develop experimental technology methods, publish high-level research papers, and apply for various scientific research projects and patents.
3. Assist in certain team management and student guidance work.
4. Assist the research team in database construction, analysis pipeline construction.
5. Standardize the process of experiment documentation, data organization, and analysis, and provide regular updates on research progress.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
Salary will be comparable to international standards, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Employee benefits will be provided according to the relevant labor laws of Mainland China as well as CUHK-Shenzhen regulations.
