We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Business Consulting – DATA SBO.

Principal responsibilities 

  • Design and implement data solutions to enable data sources to be effectively used for reporting, analysis, modeling, and specific use-cases.

  • Lead the design and development of on-premise or on-cloud (GCP) data marts.

  • Author and maintain complex ETL pipelines which process large datasets for downstream production systems and ML models, leveraging primarily SQL and Python.

  • Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) activities to inform and support real-time marketing-campaign trigger development, such as obtaining insights from clickstream data and campaign sizing.

  • Support real-time marketing campaign trigger development by authoring and maintaining data pipelines for filtering, transforming and aggregating streams of event data using low-code platforms such as Tealium AudienceStream, Pega CDH and Pega ESM.

  • Support end-to-end testing of user journeys resulting from real-time marketing-triggers.

  • Update and maintain data dictionaries, ensure data updates are complete, accurate and consistent.

  • Ensure that data is sourced from trusted sources where possible and support work to transitioning data marts to leverage trusted sources as they become available.

  • Work closely with ASP D&A, Marketing, Channels, and other business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain analytics enablers for supporting the needs of ASP sites.

  • Support measurement of business potential and effectiveness.

  • Make recommendations and identify improvement opportunities proactively to refine and enhance the analytics enablers and related processes and platforms.

  • Develop and ensure adherence to an operating model and design, development, and maintenance best practices for data mart design and supporting analytics enablers.

  • Support the exploration and documentation of on-premise processes and migration to a cloud-based environment including source data ingestion to cloud, quality checking, development and maintenance of data marts, and business logic migration.

  • Reconciling business requirements with data availability by performing gap analysis on existing datasets and coordinating with IT team on new data-ingestion and existing data-enhancement efforts.

  • Coordinate with IT on development of tools, features, and processes to enable the D&A team and enhance data mart development and maintenance.

  • Directly or indirectly lead and steer the team in the right direction.

  • Express ideas, share and present information clearly and concisely; articulate messages, modify approach, and build connections/trust.

  • Ability to drive projects to execution by developing deliverables timelines and effectively managing stakeholders.

  • Effectively manages cross business and functional stakeholders to provide the deliverables needed to drive projects to completion.

  • Uplift analytics-centric technical capability and recommend seamless approaches and refinement in the related processes.

  • Automate and streamline the analytics and standardized report generation processes riding on the effective analytics enablers.

  • Work collaboratively with co-workers to manage and formulate analytical projects in an effective and efficient manner.

  • Help shape the future of the analytics within the Wholesale Banking function as we move to modern data and analytics platforms.

Requirements

Must have :

  • University degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience involving stake holder /expectation management, preferably in banking and financial sector.

  • Proficiency supporting data and analytics efforts in an innovative environment to support business goals and communicate the results which can be understood by all parties.

  • Experience with design and development of data marts to support AI, machine learning, analytics, and reporting work, especially on using data for implementing targeted campaigns and real-time triggers and track performance.

  • Extensive data mining skills, ability to understand various data structures, both structured and unstructured, and an understanding of common data transformation and aggregation methods.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Pythons is required.

  • Experience with analytical tools offered by cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS and / or AliCloud) and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.

  • Strong team player with open mind, self-motivation and good communication, interpersonal skills as well as strong sense of responsibility and ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • High technical aptitude, problem solving abilities with structured way of thinking, intellectual curiosity, motivation, and passion for data discovery.

  • Detail oriented with full picture and customer first in mind. Interested in staying up to date on the latest advanced analytics and big data technologies.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
